What to expect from therapy:

At Red Hart Therapy we are pleased to be able to offer you one to one sessions in person, over video or over the phone.

Sessions offered in person are at our Rayleigh therapy room, located opposite Rayleigh Train station, whilst our remote sessions are offered via Microsoft teams.

Before starting sessions, your therapist will get in touch to arrange a free call to give you the opportunity to ask any questions and to check that CBT is the right type of therapy for you. This will also give you a chance to check you click with your therapist before you commit to getting started.

What to expect of my therapist:

Training and Qualifications

All therapists should have received the appropriate, recognised training for the type of support they are offering and should be able to provide the relevant proof of qualification. Each of our therapists have received their qualifications through university courses that are recognised and accredited by the BABCP.

Professional Bodies and Insurance

All of our Cognitive Behavioural Psychotherapists are required to maintain professional registration through the British Association of Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapists (BABCP) to ensure that they adhere to standards set by this governing body. Therapists are also required to have professional indemnity insurance and up to date DBS checks.

You can check the registration for any therapist via this official BABCP link:

Continued Professional Bodies and Insurance

As part of professional registration, therapists are required to receive supervision from another registered therapist or psychologist. This involves discussing clients in a confidential manner, so as to ensure that the therapist is supported in supporting you. All clinical governance policies are in place to ensure that your confidentiality is maintained.

Continued professional development refers to regular training opportunities taken by therapists to enhance their therapeutic skills. This is also a requirement to maintain professional registration.

Insurance Providers

If you have health insurance you may be able to access one to one sessions via your insurance provider. Red Hart Therapy Ltd is currently a network therapist provider for the following companies:

Please be aware that sessions that are organised via your insurance provider will be limited and subject to their terms and conditions, which would be reviewed at the start of sessions.
